THE OFFICIAL BUCS UNIVERSITY BEACH CHAMPIONSHIPS

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) are teaming up with Deep Dish Beach to deliver the Beach Volleyball Championship.

The BUCS Championship event hosts Men's and Women's Pairs in 3 divisions: Championship, Trophy and Shield.

This is exclusively for University students to partake in, and will crown the UK Beach Volleyball University champions, with athletes coming from all over the country.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

BUCS BEACH TOURNAMENT

6th - 7th June 2024

The BUCS Beach Volleyball Championships are split into three divisions: Championships, Trophy and Shield. Universities are allowed to enter the following teams into each division:

Championships: 1 team per gender
Trophy: 2 teams per gender
Shield: 2 teams per gender

Teams will compete over two days with day one consisting of a pool stage and eight teams will make it through to day two which will be knockouts with position matches for 1st - 8th. Teams will compete in a minimum of three matches.

DEEP DISH TOURNAMENT

7th June 2024

For any players who are knocked out after day one or players who are not competing in BUCS. Deep Dish will be hosting a Mixed Pairs and Mixed Fours tournament on the 7th June.

Mixed Pairs and Mixed Fours

Entry for this event can be done online or up to 7pm on the 6th June at the organiser tent
There are unlimited entries so anyone signed up is guaranteed a place
Mixed Pairs £30 per team
Mixed Fours £55 per team

HOW TO ENTER

BUCS BEACH TOURNAMENT

All entries for the BUCS Beach Tournament must be made via your University on the BUCS Play system. Please contact your University sports department for information on how to enter. Alternatively, you can also contact BUCS directly - https://www.bucs.org.uk/

DEEP DISH TOURNAMENT

Entry for the Deep Dish Mixed Pairs and Mixed Fours can either be done online or at the organiser tent up to 7pm on the 6th June. You will need to pay when you register. Players DON'T have to have competed in BUCS to compete.

There are unlimited entries so anyone signed up is guaranteed a place

TRAVEL

The event will take place at: Sandbanks Beach, Banks Rd, Poole BH13 7QQ
Closest railway stations are Poole & Bournemouth. Both are around a 20 minute car journey from Sandbanks
Car parking is available on site. This costs around £15 per day. Free parking can be found around a 20 minute walk away on nearby streets.
