Deep Dish Welcome Record Numbers to the 2026 BUCS Beach Volleyball Championships at Sandbanks!

We are delighted to once again be hosting the BUCS Beach Volleyball Championships at Sandbanks Beach on Wednesday 3 June and Thursday 4 June 2026, with this year's event set to be one of the largest in the competition's history.

When we first brought the championships to Sandbanks in 2022, we welcomed 104 teams from 30 universities to compete for national honours. Four years on, the event has grown beyond all expectations, with 210 teams from 39 universities set to take part in the 2026 championships.

To accommodate the record entry, we will be installing 31 courts across Sandbanks Beach, creating a spectacular beach volleyball venue for two days of competition. Teams will battle it out across the Championship, Trophy and Shield divisions, with national champions crowned in each category at the conclusion of play on Thursday afternoon.

Play will begin at 9:00am on both days, and spectators are welcome to attend free of charge to enjoy some of the best university beach volleyball action in the country.
