DEEP DISH ATHLETES SELECTED FOR ENGLAND NEVZA YOUTH SQUADS

We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our Deep Dish Juniors - Tomo Iwata-Furlonger, Otto Alvarez, and Jennifer Rates - have been selected to represent England at the 2025 NEVZA Youth Beach Volleyball Championships.

ABOUT THE NEVZA YOUTH BEACH CHAMPIONSHIPS

The NEVZA (Northern European Volleyball Zonal Association) Championships are a key fixture in the international youth beach volleyball calendar, offering top young athletes the chance to compete against the strongest teams across Northern Europe.

This year, the tournament will take place from Tuesday 1st July to Thursday 3rd July 2025 at Belvedere (South) Beach in Bridlington, Yorkshire. Competing nations include Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and England.

A MILESTONE FOR THE DEEP DISH COMMUNITY

This is the first time multiple Deep Dish athletes have been selected in the same year for international youth representation — a testament to the hard work of our players, the quality of our coaching team, and the strength of the wider Deep Dish development pathway. We will be closely following the progress of Tomo, Otto, and Jennifer as they prepare to compete, and we look forward to sharing updates from the tournament as it unfolds.

Spectators are welcome to attend both the youth and senior events free of charge, and matches will also be streamed live on Volleyball England’s YouTube channel, providing a fantastic opportunity to watch the action as it happens.
