AN UPDATE FOR OUR DEEP DISH CRYSTAL PALACE COMMUNITY
Deep Dish Crystal Palace will temporarily close from 21st December 2026 whilst much needed redevelopment works take place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. The works are currently estimated to take two to three years.
We welcome and support the redevelopment and the investment in the sports centre’s future. Throughout this process, our priority is to ensure our community continues to have a place to play, train and come together.
We are currently in discussions with the Greater London Authority (GLA) about creating a temporary site during the closure. For now, we can confirm that our beach facility will remain closed until at least 1st March 2027. This is not a confirmed reopening date, but we hope to share more detailed updates about our plans in the coming weeks.
Our junior club sessions will move to nearby sports halls, allowing our young players to continue training, developing and enjoying volleyball together. We will release details of the venues and session schedules soon.
Our community is at the heart of everything we do. Together, you have helped make Deep Dish Crystal Palace a place where people of all ages and abilities build friendships, develop confidence and find a sense of belonging through volleyball. We know how much this space means to so many of you, and we are committed to finding a way to keep our community together.
Thank you to every player, parent, coach and supporter who has made Crystal Palace such a special place. We look forward to making the most of our remaining time on court this year and will keep you informed about what comes next.
