Issa batrane coaching

1. TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BEACH VOLLEYBALL CAREER

Still currently competing. Competed this past year in events as big as the Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 which is the highest in our sport. Chasing that Olympic goal for Los Angeles 2028.

2. WHAT'S YOUR HISTORY WITH DEEP DISH VACATIONS?

Coached many camps before like Portugal as well as the very first Gran Canaria camp. I also coach for the club in Crystal Palace when i’m not on the road competing.

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY PRE-CAMP WORDS OF WISDOM FOR PLAYERS COMING OUT TO GRAN CANARIA?

Pace yourself! Don’t try to play all your volleyball in the first 2 days of free time. You will get a lot of training and its best to be fresh, hydrated and well rested in order to maximise the opportunity to learn and improve 😊

5. WHAT IS A LIFE-CHANGING BOOK/MOVIE/QUOTE THAT YOU HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO OTHER PEOPLE?

Be like Coach Prime. Have the mindset to dominate in everything you do.

6. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE DRILL OR SKILL TO COACH?

Not really. I enjoy all aspects of the game!

7. WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO AT THE GRAN CANARIA CAMP?

Hans 😄 And the vibes at the beach with all the campers 😊

8. WHY SHOULD PLAYERS OR COACHES JOIN THE DEEP DISH GRAN CANARIA CAMP NEXT YEAR?

Without a doubt it is the best camp I’ve been on, where the focus and priority on learning and improving in your game is so high whilst also enjoying your time around it.

9. DO YOU HAVE AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT FROM CAMP OR THAT HAPPENED WHILE PLAYING BEACH VOLLEYBALL?

Without a doubt it was one Portugal camp where I tried to keep up with 1 person on the camp in terms of drinking the same amount of beers. I don’t like beers so it was already a bad idea and I was so drunk and feeling rough that I didn’t even make it to the courts the next day 🤦🏿‍♂️
