TERM 3 JUNIOR CLUB RECAP

What. A. Term. As Term 3 wraps up, we’re taking a well-earned pause to look back on what’s been a season full of sunshine, growth, and seriously impressive sand skills. With record numbers across age groups, a buzzing end-of-term tournament, we couldn’t be prouder of our Deep Dish juniors.

From the first session to the final serve, the courts at Crystal Palace have been alive with energy, learning, and laughs and we’ve loved every second.

BIG NUMBERS, BIGGER PROGRESS

This term has seen the club hit full capacity, with our U16 group absolutely booming. So much so, we had to expand sessions to fit everyone in, a great problem to have!

Our coaches have been working closely with each age group, focusing not just on skills and drills, but also on confidence-building, communication, and smart play. Whether they were learning to pass in the wind or figuring out how to outthink a block, every session was packed with opportunity and the players absolutely showed up.

One of the most rewarding parts of Term 3 has been watching our juniors grow as people, not just players. From first-time attendees finding their rhythm, to seasoned regulars stepping up as role models and leaders, the personal development this term has been real.

Beach volleyball challenges players to communicate, adapt, and support each other, and it’s been amazing to see those skills grow stronger every week.

END-OF-TERM TOURNAMENTS

We closed out the term in true Deep Dish style: with an epic in-house tournament to let the juniors show off everything they’ve been working on. The competition brought together all age groups, and while the sun brought the heat, so did the players. From nail-biting rallies to brilliant teamwork, it was the perfect way to round off a term of hard work and high vibes. There were cheers, hugs, sand dives, and a whole lot of proud coaches.

SO… WHAT’S NEXT?

Term 3 may be over, but the sand is still buzzing. Our Summer Holiday Camps are already in full swing, with epic energy, loads of fun, and some seriously solid training happening every week. It’s been amazing to see so many of our Junior Club athletes keeping the momentum going through the holidays.

And don’t worry, Junior Club isn’t done for the year. We’re kicking off Term 1 of our Indoor Junior Club in September, and we can’t wait to see both familiar faces and new players hitting the court. After an incredible beach season full of growth, connection, and development, it’s time to bring that same energy under the roof
