UKBT CLUB CHAMPS 2025 RECAP

This year’s UKBT Club Championships in Sandbanks was one to remember. Clubs from across the country came together for a weekend of high-level volleyball, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our Deep Dish teams showed up, not just in results, but in the way they supported each other and represented our community.

Here’s how the weekend played out across our three venues:

DEEP DISH CRYSTAL PALACE - THIRD PLACE OVERALL

Crystal Palace brought power, depth, and momentum to Sandbanks — securing an impressive 3rd place overall finish at Club Champs. Our CP teams had standout showings in Division 2, Mixed, and U18, highlighting the strength and depth of talent across the programme.

Some highlights include:

  • An all-Crystal Palace Division 2 final, with Bailey Slessor / David Silva taking 1st place, and Valentin Gourmet / Nacho Sierra earning 2nd

  • A strong Mixed Division 3rd place finish from Lucy Knott / Jon Butler

These results speak to the consistency and determination of our Crystal Palace athletes — and the continued development happening every week at the courts.

DEEP DISH BOURNEMOUTH - FOURTH PLACE OVERALL

4th Place Finish on Home Sand Our Bournemouth crew delivered an incredible performance on familiar ground, finishing 4th overall on the club leaderboard. Hosting on home turf brought out the best in our players, and the support from local fans and teammates created a truly electric atmosphere.

We saw standout moments from across the divisions, with notable results in the Trophy Division:

  • Women’s – 3rd Place: Hargrave & Smalls

  • Men’s – 4th Place: Nikitchenko & Korenev

A huge thank you to every athlete who competed for Bournemouth — from our Championship squads to our first-time pairings. This finish reflects the growth, energy, and strong community that continues to build around our venue.

DEEP DISH ST ALBANS - FIFTEENTH PLACE OVERALL

Making a Statement in Year Two! Now in just its second season, Deep Dish St Albans made a big impression at Club Champs, finishing 15th overall and showing the impact of a rapidly growing programme.

Our women’s team delivered a standout performance, securing 4th place in the Championship Division, an incredible result for a squad that’s only beginning to build its competitive legacy.

More importantly, the team embodied what Deep Dish is all about: connection, growth, and courage to show up on the big stage. We’re incredibly proud of this milestone for St Albans and excited for everything still to come.

To all our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters: thank you. You brought the energy, the effort, and the heart. We’ll see you back on the sand soon.
