Next up.... Olga Gladosz !

Can you tell us a bit about your career?

Well, my career journey is a bit like a mixed bag of colourful candies! Picture this: I started off as a children's nurse, wading through a sea of teddy bears and band-aids, but then I took a leap into the cyber world by diving headfirst into an MSc in Computer Science with a sprinkle of cybersecurity.

But wait, there's more! I recently added another layer to my resume by becoming a certified sleep consultant, helping people count sheep like a pro.

As this wasn’t enough! I also added a layer of legal expertise with a certificate in immigration and asylum law, advocating for those in need with the precision of a legal eagle.

And let’s not forget my artistic side – I’m also a graphic design virtuoso, having won competitions and volunteered as a publicity coordinator, painting the town with eye-catching visuals and designing apparently pretty good christmas cards!

Now, if that's not enough to keep you on your toes, let's add some volleyball action into the mix! I'm not just a nurse by day; I'm also a volleyball enthusiast by night, coaching beginner groups in London and even captaining and founding a university mixed team from scratch!

So, whether I'm saving the day in the hospital or spiking a ball on the court, you can bet I'm all about making a positive impact wherever I go.

What are you most looking forward to this summer with Deep Dish St Albans?

This summer with Deep Dish in St. Albans? It's shaping up to be one heck of a ride! I'm pumped for the sandy showdowns, the high-fives after epic rallies, and the friendships that come with being part of such a vibrant beach volleyball community. From organising tournaments to diving for that game-winning save, every moment on the court promises to be an adventure. I can't wait to soak up the sun, sweat it out, and share plenty of laughs with the Deep Dish crew. Bring on the spikes and smiles!

Why should players join us at Deep Dish St Albans?

Well, picture this: sandy courts, sunny skies (or shall I say rainy!😂), and a community that feels more like family than teammates.

At Deep Dish, it's not just about perfecting your spike or nailing that dig (though we've got plenty of opportunities for that!). It's about finding your tribe, pushing your limits, and having a blast every step of the way. Plus, where else can you improve your game while soaking up the summer vibes and making lifelong friends?

Join us at Deep Dish St. Albans, and let's make this season one for the highlight reel

Best advice or top tip for up and coming beach volleyball players or beginners wanting to get into the sport?

Ready to dip your toes into beach volleyball? Dive right in! No need to be a pro – just grab a ball and let the beach adventures begin. Buddy up! Find a friend or join a beginner's group for extra fun and support. Patience is key! Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a killer serve. Enjoy the journey and celebrate every improvement. Practice makes perfect! But most of all just have fun and enjoy yourself!

What is a life changing book/movie/quote that you highly recommend to other people?

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

This quote encourages people to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. It reminds us that each person can make a difference through their actions and choices.

This quote leads me through my life, like many others but this one has a special place in my heart ❤️

We hope you will join us for an incredible summer at Deep Dish St Albans, whether you're a Complete Beginner or an Experienced Expert, we have classes for every level.

Make sure to start booking into our classes soon as we're filling up quickly!
